One
of the most important aspects of running a successful
power washing business is using the right equipment
and supplies. Below is a list of some of the equipment
and supplies we recommend.

| 11 or 13 HP Pressure
Washer - A good size power
washer is a 11 or 13 HP cold water machine with a PSI
rating of 3,000 to 3,500. We like Honda motors
and either Cat or General Pumps (we prefer gear or belt
drive pumps). Important features includes a pump flow
of between 4-5 gallons per minute, an easy flow unloader
(something like a K-7), and either an powder coated or
stainless steel frame. |

| Variable pressure
wand - Although some manufactures
supply a variable wand with their power washers most
do not. We think it is a very important accessory. The
advantage is that it allows you to raise and lower the
pressure right from the gun. This helps a lot when
you are working on a deck where you may want to use several
different pressure levels. |

| High pressure hose
reel - This is probably obvious
but you need a good high pressure hose reel for your
high pressure hose. The bigger the better. The
reel should be able to hold at least 200' ft of 3/8 hose. |

| Quick Couplers on
everything - Quick couplers
make disconnecting everything much more easy. They
also will let things swivel to some degree. |
